We Stayed in All Three Luxury Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels: Which One Is Best?
Planning a Tokyo Disney Resort vacation? One of the most exciting—and important—decisions is where to stay. With three luxury Disney hotels located on-site, each offering unique theming, exclusive park access, and premium amenities, it can be difficult to choose the best one.
We recently stayed at all three of the resort’s flagship deluxe hotels—Hotel MiraCosta, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, and the brand-new Fantasy Springs Hotel. In this blog post, we compare the pros and cons of each luxury Tokyo Disney hotel based on our personal experience. We’ll help you decide which Tokyo Disney Resort hotel is right for you, whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning for a magical Disney holiday.

Hotel MiraCosta: The Most Immersive Tokyo Disney Hotel
Pros:
Located inside Tokyo DisneySea with direct park entrance
Breathtaking Italian theming with premium park views
Fully immersive design that blends seamlessly into the park
Cons:
Most expensive of the three hotels
Rooms and décor are dark and feel slightly dated
Limited availability and tough to book
Hotel MiraCosta is Tokyo Disney Resort’s most iconic hotel. Built into the Mediterranean Harbor at Tokyo DisneySea, it offers direct access to the park and rooms that overlook the harbor shows. The Renaissance-style design, elegant interiors, and premium service make it a standout.
However, the rooms can feel dimly lit and a bit old-fashioned. Despite that, the unparalleled location and theming make it a once-in-a-lifetime stay for Disney fans.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel: The Most Complete and Convenient
Pros:
Elegant Victorian-style hotel with spacious rooms
Steps from Tokyo Disneyland entrance and monorail
Fantastic amenities, gardens, and Disney charm
Cons:
Slightly dated décor compared to newer hotels
Some rooms offer only partial park views
Located right across from Tokyo Disneyland, this hotel is incredibly convenient. With grand exteriors, lush gardens, and classic Disney touches throughout, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel delivers a well-rounded luxury experience.
Our room featured thoughtful details like Mickey and Minnie character artwork, themed amenity kits, and a nostalgic Disney mural. The hotel also has excellent dining, shopping, and beautiful public spaces.
If you’re looking for the best overall combination of comfort, service, location, and magic, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is our top pick.

Fantasy Springs Hotel: The Newest Tokyo Disney Luxury Hotel
Pros:
Newly opened in 2024 with exclusive Fantasy Springs park access
Stylish, modern rooms with a whimsical fairytale theme
Premium and Grand Chateau room categories available
Cons:
Theming feels sparse in common areas
Exterior design lacks visual appeal
High price and extremely limited availability
Feels less warm and personal than the other two hotels
Fantasy Springs Hotel is the newest addition to Tokyo Disney Resort’s deluxe hotel lineup. Connected directly to the new Fantasy Springs area in DisneySea, it offers early access and a sleek, high-end experience.
While the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed, we found the overall theming to be a bit underwhelming. The hotel felt less immersive than MiraCosta and less cozy than Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.

So, Which Tokyo Disney Resort Hotel Is Best?
For us, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel offered the best overall stay. It has the ideal mix of luxury, location, Disney charm, and value.
Hotel MiraCosta is the best option for an unforgettable experience inside Tokyo DisneySea, especially if you want to splurge on park views.
Fantasy Springs Hotel is perfect for those who want something exclusive and ultra-modern—but it may not capture the same warmth as the older Disney hotels.
What About the Other Tokyo Disney Hotels?
Beyond the deluxe options, Tokyo Disney Resort offers a range of hotel categories to suit different budgets:

On-Site Moderate Disney Hotel:
Toy Story Hotel – Colorful theming, great for families, reasonably priced, located near Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line.
Disney Ambassador Hotel – Art Deco theming, close to Ikspiari shopping area, but farther from the parks and starting to show its age.
Official Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels (Monorail Loop):
Hilton Tokyo Bay – Spacious, modern rooms (recently renovated in 2025), excellent value.
Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay – Great facilities and family-friendly, but standard rooms are older.
Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay – Well-maintained and affordable, though décor feels dated.
Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama – Dated but bright and airy; one of the more affordable options.
Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort – Compact rooms with playful Disney-style theming.
Off-Site Hotels Near Tokyo Disney Resort:
Hotel Emion Tokyo Bay – Comfortable, modern amenities with a shuttle to the parks.
APA Hotel Tokyo Shiomi Ekimae – Budget-friendly and convenient for solo travellers via JR Line.
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel – Budget Disney-branded hotel with bus access to the parks.
Each hotel offers something different. But for first-timers or anyone wanting a seamless Disney experience, the three Deluxe Disney hotels offer the best in service, design, and convenience.
