The Disney Magic holds a very special place in our hearts—it was our very first cruise ship, and the one that started our entire cruising obsession! Built in 1998, she is the original Disney cruise ship. Instead of massive theme park attractions, she relies on incredible art-deco elegance, traditional nautical design, and subtle, nostalgic Disney touches. We've sailed on her five times, making it our most sailed cruise ship!
Our Honest Verdict
Disney Magic proves that bigger isn't always better. The service from the Cast Members is a massive step up from almost any other mainstream cruise line, the split-bathroom cabins are brilliantly engineered for families, and the stage entertainment is unmatched. However, Disney charges a massive premium, and because they don't offer all-inclusive alcohol packages, your onboard spend can rack up very quickly!
Series 1: UK Staycation

Part 1: Embarkation, Food, a Cabin Tour
We kick off the trip with Disney's famous embarkation welcome, take you inside our Deluxe Verandah stateroom, explore the classic decks, and experience our first rotational dinner.
Part 2: Port Days, Entertainment & Ship Complaints
We dive into the big question: does Disney Cruise Line justify its steep price tag? We test out the thrilling AquaDunk drop slide, explore the adult-only nightlife zones, experience the Tangled show at Rapunzel’s Royal Table, and give our final breakdown on DCL's true value.
Series 2: 10th Anniversary Bahamas Cruise (Port Everglades)
We returned to our favorite ship for a 4-night Bahamas sailing out of Port Everglades to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! We stayed in Cabin 7512 (an Oceanview Room with a Large Window) at a cost of $1,000 USD per night.
